Participants in the project

The main participants in the project will be the children and their teachers. Children as a subject of learning and teachers as mentors, friends who guide and support planning. A parent-child relationship will be based on friendship and trust. The pedagogue will encourage, plan, motivate and organize children, and they will be the main interactive players in lessons and activities. Parents will be an important part of this line - all their activities, especially those in the open, will be realized. Very important is the support of local authorities and the media that will make it create a positive attitude in the community. Important for this project are museum workers, environmentalists, historians, university lecturers, social workers, ethnographers and others who could help activities so they are more interesting, useful, attractive, entertaining and challenging. The main role of teachers will be to plan, motivate and shake the children for all activities. Interactive lessons and outdoor lessons will be primarily their concern as organizing and planning pedagogical goals and tasks to improve skills and competencies. Children will be the main actor who will give him the freedom to seek and discover, create, give ideas, and plan (as an element of very basic social entrepreneurship). They will learn to meet the challenges and deal with them. Experience will help them cope better with learning materials and with the difficulties in life. Qualities such as trust, self-confidence, teamwork, respect and tolerance are the foundation of good social competencies. Parents will be supported, encouraged, motivated, committed to their knowledge, intelligence and experience in various activities. Local authorities and the media will reflect the activities, thus creating an interest in the topic in the regional communities. Modular field specialists will be important with their competence and ability to better communicate their children's knowledge. Interaction of all will create a worried regional community and common products - a European family working for the benefit of children.

The participating children in the project are aged between 5 and 9 (kindergarten and elementary school). There are also scheduled on-line meetings during which they communicate and present themselves directly. Each partner will include additional hours with part of the planned activities attended by all students. Kindergartens will include the largest primary schools aged 5-7 for children aged 6 to 8. Slovenian school is for SEN children and will work with 11 - 15 years old childen.

Participating teachers will be volunteering, but an internal selection procedure will be held for mobility in institutions with a cover letter.

IMPRESSIONS OF THE PARTICIPANTS FROM DR. LJUDEVITA PIVKA PTUJ ABOUT MOBILITY IN PORTUGAL

From 8th to 11th of November 2021, we visited our project partners in Portugal under Erasmus+ mobility program. The theme of the visit was Electronic activity/rules of work and life in a virtual space which enabled a rich exchange of experiences in an area that is curently very useful due to COVID 19 pandemic related distance schooling. The hosts prepared a rich programme for us, which covered profesional topics as well as enabled us to also learn about culture, cuisine and life in Portugal.

Mornings where devoted to geting familiarized with Portuguese school system. We visited two schools in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses. Where we had an opportunity to see the premises of schools, their equipment and to learn about the organisation of schools activities. Schools stand out in an area of availability of information technology as all teachers have their own laptops, the classes have interactive whiteboards or whiteboards with projectors, at least two schools in the municipality have a so-called ''classroom of the future'' with tablets, an interactive whiteboard, a 3D printer etc. Wednesday morning was intended for exchange of experiences and presenting the work of all the participating partners on the mobility topic. Participants presented interesting products and tools that they and their students tested and used with the help of digital technology. A common finding is that the Internet and modern technology can be a powerful tool in the process of acquiring knowledge, and not just a mean for having fun or being a threat to our children-students.

The afternoons were devoted to visiting cultural sites near the towns that we visited and relaxed socializing between partners.

Mobility program offered an interesting experience and insight into forms of work in different countries and levels of education.

Agrupamento de escolas de Alpendorada, Portugal - » Social Citizenship - People with Disabilitie«

This is a project involving children from the kindergarten JI Murteirados in Marco de Canaveses along with first and fourth graders from Agrupamento de Escolas de Alpendorada, two different Portuguese schools created this E-book based on the Portuguese writer Manuela Castrio Neves' book O Elefante diferente.

It's the result of the children's creativity of the story's problem/ question: Where was the elephant's trunk?

The project was developed in different stages:

1.The kindergarten children imagined the different places where the trunk could be by drawing and labelling it;

2. The first graders transformed the different places into written statements in Portuguese

3. Fourth graders wrote the equivalent in English statements

4. The collaborative work was combined in an e-book

5. Finally, the finished project was presented to the original author in an online meeting with all students and teachers involved which you can assess here:

PTUJ SIGHTSEEING WITH KURENT - students primary school dr. Ljudevita Pivka Ptuj, Slovenia

Activity ENVIRONMENT - Students dr. Ljudevita Pivka Ptuj , Slovenia

Throughout the school year, we paid special attention to caring for our environment. All this knowledge and care for the environment enriches the emotional ties of children and young people to nature. It teaches them to respect otherness and to appreciate natural goods. It gives students and teachers the opportunity to apply the knowledge they gain in class in their daily lives at school and beyond. To derive the goals of environmental education, they chooses interesting methods of work and helps students to use the knowledge they have acquired in class to solve everyday life. Pupils and teachers took care of clean air and water by: separating waste, collecting waste oil, composting in the school garden, making bins for separating waste at school, making posters to inform other students about the importance of protecting our environment .

Through the school year we learn about clean waters, global warming, causes and effects. We talked a lot with the students about the solutions for a better and healthy environment.

Ptuj, Slovenia celebrated World Autism Awareness Day

Every year on April 2, we celebrate World Autism Awareness Day.

People with autism do not have the disease, they just think differently, and above all, they feel and understand the world around them differently.  That they are among us and that they need a lot of understanding, support and heart, the global campaign "Light it up blue" raises awareness.  With the help of the mayor Nuška Gajšek, Ptuj also turns blue for one day every year.
